I attended the panel discussion and one of the questions I submitted was what kinds of formal training journalists are receiving to combat disinformation. I'm curious if they are working out at "journalism gyms" and building muscle and strength to protect democracy. I remember those old ads of the 90 pound weaklings having bullies at the beach pushing them around and kicking sand in their faces. A lot of journalists today are like that poor victim. Come on guys and gals, start bulking up!

One journalist said it's less than what the pay was for the same job more than 20 years ago, not counting for inflation, just in dollar figures.
It must be exhausting to continue to need to paint journalism as a public task increasingly needing to justify its existence.
