I was really disappointed to see that article Disappear on the web about the Nonprofit especially since I worked there. I saw your article and grabbed several copies of the printed publication immediately after reading this. Thank you for the information in this article, it's helping me cope with this injustice. It feels wrong and dirty, especially to the voices in the article. It's an attack on Journalism whenever the purse strings behind a newspaper can delete the articles they dislike to help their buddies. I've done Freelance journalism; it turns me off to know some things I've written are no longer there (and those weren't even controversial). This is why Print is so important.
I like the pet snake analogy. Good on you for sending that memo last January. If the owners read it, they clearly ignored just about everything you said.
Such a shame to see another alt-weekly shrivel on the vine—in the dumbest way possible. Reminds me of the implosion of LA Weekly in 2017.
So our local homegrown Ferengi owners dropped the paper. Roth's response to the Bannon controversy was, to paraphrase, "we take cash, no questions asked." Not what you would expect from a person entrusted to promote the "public good" through a free and independent press.

Just subscribed to the Pikes Peak Bulletin. Great write up about the latest (bummer) development with the Indy.
